Covid Vaccination Programme

Thurleigh Road Practice is working together with other Battersea Practices to manage and run the Battersea Covid-19 vaccination site at The Junction Health Centre. We started vaccinating our patients aged 80 and over from the afternoon of 8th January 2021.

As you may be aware, from the news and Government announcements, the vaccine is in limited supply and we will offer to patients in our high risk/priority group first.

We will contact the relevant patient groups to book appointments as soon as we are able to. For most people this will be via SMS, otherwise we will call you. The SMS invitation will include all the information you will need to book an appointment yourself, followed by our administrative team call as they will need to ask you questions before your appointment.  They also will be able to book an appointment for you.

You do not need to contact us.

We are sure that you will appreciate that we are working very hard on this huge project, and we thank you for your patience.

The order of priority for each group in the population to be invited to receive the Covid-19 vaccine is as follows:

1. residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
2. all those aged 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
3. all those 75 years of age and over
4. all those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
5. all those 65 years of age and over
6. all those individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
7. all those 60 years of age and over
8. all those 55 years of age and over
9. all those 50 years of age and over

We will keep our website updated as we receive more details from NHS England.

In the meantime, more information about the Covid-19 vaccine can be found here.

If you wish to volunteer to help to contribute to the success of our local Covid-19 vaccination programme at The Clapham Junction Health Centre, please email to swlccg.covidvacc@nhs.net, who are organising the volunteers. Your help is much appreciated.
