Our advanced nurse practitioner Tor Godfrey will be taking a year away from Thurleigh Road practice from 31st of March.
Her absence will be felt hugely in that time by both staff and patients alike however we are already looking forward to welcoming her back next April!
Christmas and New Year opening Times
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR OPENING TIMES 2022
The practice will be open from 8am-6.30pm Monday to Friday during the holiday period, all appointments during this time will be on the day only appointments.
We will be CLOSED on
- BOXING DAY Monday 26th December
- CHRISTMAS DAY B/HOL Tuesday 27th December
- NEW YEAR’S DAY B/HOL Monday 2nd January
All repeat prescription requests for confirmed availability prior to Christmas must be submitted by 4.30pm on Wednesday the 21st December and for the New Year by 4.30pm on Wednesday 28th December.
Services between 24th to 27th December and 31st December to 2nd January Hours 8am-8pm.
Extra GP services on weekends and bank holidays, to access these services in Wandsworth please telephone 0333 332 6570 Option 5. Where you will be assessed by a clinician and offered a suitable appointment or advice if required. This may be a Telephone, video appointment or a face to face appointment.

Polio Vaccine booster in London - Updated 23rd August
Polio Vaccination Update – 23rd August 2022
We just wanted to reassure our patients that we are working hard to finalise our plans for vaccinating all eligible patients with an additional Polio vaccine.
Firstly we ask all patients/Guardians not to call the practice or book an appointment unless you have already received either an invitation via SMS or letter and that you please wait until you have been contacted. If you do not receive contact shortly this will mean the child at present is not eligible for an additional vaccination.
Phase 1
All eligible patients whose routine immunisations were either due or overdue have been contacted via SMS or by letter and have been requested to make contact with the practice to arrange a vaccination appointment.
Phase 2
All eligible patients aged 1 to 5 who are now due an additional vaccination, on top of the normal routine childhood immunisations will start to receive an SMS or letter invitation by the end of this week.
To clarify Eligibility for additional polio dose, children aged 1 year to 3 years 3 months will be able to receive an additional dose post 4 weeks after their last Polio dose. Children aged 3 years 4 months to 5 year olds will be able to receive an additional dose 12 months after their last polio dose.
Children 5 up to 10 years of age further information to follow in due course.

We are aware of the latest news regarding Polio Vaccines for children in London, rest assured once further communication has been sent from NHS England that we will be in touch with all patients/parents of all eligible persons with further information. You do not need to do anything at present as we will be in contact in due course.

With temperatures due to soar over the weekend and into next week, south west Londoners are being urged to stay safe in the sun and look out for each other.
Thousands of people end up in hospital each year because of heat, with conditions including severe sunburn, heat exhaustion and sun and heatstroke.
Getting out and about in the hot weather can also trigger allergies, with some people admitted to hospital due to the effects of pollen or being stung by wasps, hornets, and other insects.
The risk of serious illness is much higher for the older people, children and young people, and those who already have health conditions, including heart and breathing problems. Which is why it’s important to check on neighbours and older people relatives while the temperature remains high.

Those with less serious conditions are encouraged to ‘talk before they walk’, by getting advice from the free NHS 111 phone and online service to check symptoms and decide on the best course of action.
People with minor injuries or mild conditions which can be better dealt with at home or with over-the-counter remedies and advice from community pharmacists are reminded not to go to A&E and call NHS 111 if they are unsure.

Patient Triage, Doctorlink is no longer in use at our practice.
Patient Triage is a great way for you to contact our practice for non-urgent medical or admin requests. It is very simple to fill out so please do give it a go if you need to contact us. Patients will only need to submit answers to three questions for a medical request, so it should save you time! We really think it is easier for most people than waiting on hold to speak to a receptionist but would love to hear your feedback. If you do not have access to the internet or find it difficult to use a computer or smartphone you can call reception instead.
